Duncan dogged despite fan misgivings

p> David Duncan and his Phobians want a first win is six games and they have the crooked pleasure of staring relegation in the eyeballs.

He had to contend with angry supporters on Friday at their training grounds, following displeasure from the side's lack of form.

Having not won in their last five games and, more importantly, as they lie two points above the relegation zone, Medeama on Sunday takes on even more importance.

But David Duncan is seeing his very existence at the capital club questioned, though he is hitting back in typical analytical fashion. "I did not come to Hearts to play seven matches. I’m a problem- solver and I believe we can do it together if we put our minds to it," he is quoted by Ghanasoccernet as saying.

For those who doubt him, the former AshGold boss asks all concerned to check his record with the Miners. "Go and check my record at AshGold. I was their longest serving coach and what I was able to do there are well-documented."

The coach and his lad will look to get something to take them above the red line. "I don’t like to talk about individual players. We are in the process of building a team and it requires time to make it work. I will not bow out. I am here to do a specific job and I will do it."

Elsewhere

The Kumasi derby returns with Alhaji Gruzah at the center of the matchup. With his side tenth in the standings, he has been talking tough ahead of meeting Kotoko.

"I will beat Kotoko on Sunday and if they want to sack Dramani they can sack him," King Faisal's Alhaji Gruzah told Accra-based Happy FM.

Faisal come into this game after drawing their last fixture, but the momentum is with Kotoko, who are fourth - a position that their fans are not fine with.

League-toppers Aduana Stars are away at the Gyamfi's Park to face a tottering Edubiase. Kpando was the place where Edubiase lost 1-0 to Hearts of Lions, which saw them slip to eleventh.

Dwarfs' last two losses hit them hard but an improving Hearts of Lions will give the Cape Coast team a big job to do, especially considering only two points separate both sides.
