Kotoko want big bucks for Baah

Kotoko have placed a GHS 200,000 ($105,000) buy out on Gideon Baah, following the left-back's contract renewal at the weekend. The player will stay with Kotoko for the next two years.

After twenty months of missing football due to a horrific broken shinbone injury, Gideon Baah returned last November to play for the reserves side of his club. He had undergone a surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and also received a rehabilitation assistance at Hearts of Midlothian for two months.

His commitment to Kotoko was briefly doubted when reports said he wanted out for a European move, but Baah quickly shot them down. He returned to the first team on week 16 of last season and played well till the season's end.

The 21 year old player was muscled out of the first team for sometime due to the impressive form of the younger Baba Abdul Rahman, who has now joined the Bundesliga in Germany.
