Sulley Muntari has admitted that there is the possibility that he could be fined by Milan for picking up a serious injury on holiday, according to Football Italia.
The midfielder damaged knee ligaments during a kick-around which will see him sidelined for the next six months.
"It happened while I was playing with some friends on a football field," the former Inter player told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is right to be angry about it, but he has assured me that the club will wait for me to return to full fitness. I’m disappointed, but it will now be up to the club to decide whether they fine me or not."
There were reports over the weekend that the former Udinese man could have his wages cut while unavailable for action. Muntari only joined Milan in January after some difficult seasons with their cross-town rivals, the Beneamata.
