AshGold and Berekum move on

AshGold are through to the semifinals of the Ghana FA Cup after beating Hearts of Oak 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 scoreline after extra time. Berekum Chelsea also beat first division outfit Amidaus Professionals 1-0 in Berekum.
AshGold’s leading scorer Yakubu Mohammed scored the opener, with Prince Attakora Gyimah leveling for Hearts.
It ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. In extra time, Bernard Akuffo scored for AshGold before Attakora Gyimah scored again to level. In the ensuing shootouts, Samuel Nzemaba missed the crucial penalty kick, while AshGold all five of theirs, according to the Ghana FA website.
AshGold will face Berekum Chelsea, whose Abdul Wahab scored the lone goal.
The match between Wassaman United and Tema Youth in Tarkwa was postponed due to "security reasons. The winners of this match, whenever it will be played, face New Edubiase United, who have already gone through from a 3-0 win against Danbort on Friday.
