Former Premier League campaigners King Faisal kicked off their promotion campaign with a 2-0 win over Prestea Mine Stars in a Zone 2A Division One league clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

King Faisal was originally billed to play its matches in Bekwai, but footy-ghana.com understands that the 2004 GHALCA Top 4 champions will now play its home league matches in Kumasi on Fridays.

The match, which was the opening match of this year’s Division One League, saw King Faisal take the lead through a 47th minute penalty by goalkeeper Samuel Okyere.

An 83rd minute strike by midfielder Farouk Mohammed sealed the win for King Faisal.
