Draxler signs new Schalke deal
Schalke teenage midfielder Julian Draxler has extended his contract at Schalke by two years until 2018, German media reports said Thursday.
There was no confirmation from the Bundesliga club, and Sky News Sport and Bild online quoted its general manager Horst Heldt as saying the agreement "is not cut and dried."
Draxler, 19, has played at Schalke since he was eight, making his Bundesliga debut in January 2011. He has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Mario Goetze.
Draxler has played 74 Bundesliga games, scoring 12 goals, and has been capped four times by Germany.
