Kurz to become new Hoffenheim coach

Hoffenheim will appoint former Kaiserslautern coach Marco Kurz as their new head coach, according to German media reports on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old's last job was at Kaiserslautern before a 16-game run without a win saw him leave in March.

Kurz will replace interim Frank Kramer, who had stepped in after the sacking of Marcus Babbel earlier this month.

Hoffenheim, who were unavailable for a comment, have completed their worst first half to a Bundesliga season and go into the winter break in the relegation playoff spot after a run of six straight defeats.
