Ayew pledges loyalty to Marseille

Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew said on Tuesday that he has no intention of quitting Ligue 1 giants Marseille and may even finish his career at the Velodrome.

"I have no intention of leaving and I will be here next year," the younger brother of teammate Andre said.

"I am only 21 and players who are 28 dream of playing for OM. As for me, I am very happy here and I could finish my career at Marseille.

"I feel at home and the club has helped me enormously and I want to pay them back," added the player, who has picked up seven goals this season.

Marseille are currently second in the French top flight and seven points behind arch rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

Ayew said he believed the capital club can eliminate Barcelona on Wednesday in their Champions League quarterfinal second leg.

"I am not a supporter of PSG but personally I think they will go through," he said of the fixture which finished 2-2 last week in Paris.

"They equalised in the last minute of the first-leg and they can do something. They have a chance and I would put a few coins on Paris.

"They defend very well and up front they have a lot of speed so anything can happen.

"Paris have had a great season and they have some great players," concluded the son of former Marseille great Abedi Pele, who helped the club win the only Champions League title won by a French club in 1993.
