Zlatan to appear before league DC

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will appear before the French Football League's disciplinary commission on January 10 to face questioning over his stamp on Lyon's Dejan Lovren.

The incident happened during Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 victory over title rival Lyon on Sunday.

As Ibrahimovic hopped over a prone Lovren to get the ball his left foot came down on the defender's head, scraping his face and leaving him with a nasty wound.

Ibrahimovic has claimed it was accidental but Lyon and Lovren were left fuming and consider the Sweden striker's actions to have been deliberate.

Ibrahimovic has 17 league goals in only 15 games since arriving from AC Milan in the offseason.
