Nene wants PSG to let him go
Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian striker Nene wants the club to release him from his contract, he revealed on his website on Wednesday.
"I think it is time to follow a new path in my career", the player, who is under contract with the mega-rich French capital club until July 2013, said.
"I like the city, PSG and the fans, who have always treated me with great respect," he wrote. "I have received lots of messages both in person and through the social networks, begging me to stay."
Nene, 31, who was dropped for the last two games after his attitude to being left on the bench for a Champions League game against Porto, added: "I believe we can come to an agreement to free me from my contract."
Last month, left winger Nene was quoted as saying by the Parisien newspaper in an interview that he wanted to stay at the club.
