Nene wants to stay at PSG
Paris Saint-Germain winger Nene, relegated to the substitutes' bench for most of this season, said in an interview published on Tuesday that he wants to stay at the club.
"I've always said that I want to stay here. I love Paris. I love the club. I want to stay," he was quoted as saying by the Parisien newspaper.
But the 31-year-old Brazilian, who arrived in the French capital two years ago after a loan spell at Spanish club Espanyol, said that any departure in the January transfer window would be "difficult".
"It seems difficult to me but I don't know. My head's in Paris," he added.
The left winger, who will be out of contract in June next year, also speculated on an extension to his time at the Parc des Princes, adding that club officials will be meeting his representatives soon.
"Whatever is going to happen will happen. I'm just doing my job and it's the club that'll decide whether I stay on or not," he added.
Nene is in his third season at PSG and has scored 35 goals in 70 matches in Ligue 1. He was out for a month with a cheekbone injury but made his return in the 2-1 defeat to Rennes on November 17.
