Three M'gladbach fans stabbed in Rome
Three fans of Borussia Moenchengladbach were stabbed on Thursday ahead of an Europa League match their side was to play at Rome side Lazio, Italian media reported.
Police who were investigating Lazio fans said that none of the German supporters was in critical conditions and that the assaults took place in three different locations of the capital.
Residents and shopkeepers near the central Piazza di Spagna complained earlier Thursday about several hundreds of Borussia fans who spent hours on the square's massive stairway, leaving hundreds of beer bottles and cans before heading for the Stadio Olimpico.
Violence involving hooligans from Lazio and other teams took place in late November, when supporters of London club Tottenham Hotspurs were assaulted with clubs and gas bombs inside a pub in the centre of Rome.
