Zamalek seeks delay



Zamalek wants to delay their first match in the African Champions League against Gazelle of Chad for 24 hours supersport has been informed.

Zamalek was supposed to play against Gazelle in the first stage of the tournament on February 16 at Alexandria .

Zamalek director Hamada Anwer confirmed this to supersport.com and said “ the technical staff wants to delay this match for 24 hours till the 17 as we will play a match in the Egyptian league on the 13 of the same month”.

” the head coach talked with me to send for the Egyptian Football Association to talk with CAF to delay it , our players can’t play at 13 then play another match at 16” Anwer added.

”We hope that CAF accepts to delay the match and we want to play it in Cairo instead of Alexandria after the Ministry of Interior has agreed to secure all the league matches “.

About their match against Gazelle Anwer said :” we don’t know the Gazelle team but we have to respect them . We have started searching for Video clips for their matches to know more about them”.
