Treinador do Gana queria outro adversário nos quartos-de-final



O seleccionador de futebol do Gana, Kwesu Appiah, adversário de Cabo Verde nos quartos-de-final sábado, em Port Elizabeth, revelou que preferia encontrar nesta fase uma equipa de topo ao invés dos “Tubarões Azuis”.

“Preferia defrontar a Costa do Marfim do que Cabo Verde. Eles não têm nada a perder", explicou numa entrevista em antevisão ao jogo.

Realçou a capacidade física de Cabo Verde, por isso deve respeitar o adversário, equipa que já derrotou no quadro da preparação para ao CAN (1-0).

“Sim, vencemos num particular, mas isso não importa muito. Ganhar um particular por 10-0 ou perder por 10-0, o importante nesses jogos é o comportamento táctico das equipas", sublinhou.

O Gana venceu o grupo B, à frente do Mali, e o técnico considerou que existem algumas semelhanças entre os cabo-verdianos e os malianos, o que é positivo.

A selecção do Ghana luta pelo quinto título. A última vez que levantou a taça foi em 1982,enquanto Cabo Verde faz a primeira participação nesta prova.
