Seven star Tanzania rout Somalia

Kilimanjaro Stars routed Somalia 7-0 to register the highest score in Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup in two years at KCC Grounds on Saturday.

Five goals from Mrisho Ngassa and a brace from John Bocco helped Tanzania to the quarterfinals while ensuring their opponents exited the competition without as much as a point.

Ngassa was left unmarked with less than a minute gone to score his first of the match. He then made it 2-0 minutes later.

Richard Issa high ball later found unmarked John Bocco who scored with four minutes to half hour mark.

The result put Somalia on the back foot and they were punished with three minutes into the break by Bocco who completed his brace.

Ngasa ensured they picked the maximum points in the 44th minute to force their opponents to go back to the drawing board.

He was on the spotlight again as he netted twice in the 73rd and 75th minute to set up a quarterfinal clash with Rwanda.
