Defending champions Uganda Cranes thrashed South Sudan 4-0 in a match played at Namboole Stadium on Friday.
Bobby Williamson’s boys are yet to concede at the tournament and the win ensures that they are the only side with a perfect record from the group stages.
They dominated from the onset and in the 17th minute Brian Umony goal was ruled offside but he broke the deadlock to give his side an early lead in the 24th minute.
Nicholas Wadada could not find the equalizer before Said Kyeyune cross landed on Umony’s path again who completed his brace.
Robert Ssentongo made it 3-0 with two minutes into the second half as Cranes seemed to stamp their authority into the game.
Towards the hour mark, Manco Kaweesa paved way for Joseph Mpande as they sealed their convincing win via Hamis Kiiza who netted the fourth with 82 minutes gone.
They now join Kenya in the Cecafa quarterfinals as Group A is decided in regards to who will qualify for the last eight.
