Caf boss Hayatou in town

Confederation of African Football (Caf) president Issa Hayatou arrived in Kampala on Thursday night ahead of this year’s Cecafa Tusker Cup.

Hayatou was received at Entebbe International Airport by Fufa president Lawrence Mulindwa and Cecafa official Leodgar Tenga among others.

The Caf boss will this Friday morning attend the Cecafa Congress at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala before addressing the media in the afternoon according to a statement from the local federation, Fufa. He will then attend a Cecafa Gala later at night.

Hayatou will also preside over the official opening of this year’s Cecafa Tusker Cup at Namboole Stadium on Saturday.

Ethiopia against South Sudan kick off Group A matches before a highly anticipated clash between Uganda and perennial rivals Kenya takes centre stage.
