Nandwa names final Stars squad
Harambee Stars Head Coach James Nandwa released the list of the final 20 players to do duty for the national team in this year’s edition of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Uganda.
The most notable exclusions in the final squad released are that of Kansas City defender Lawrence Olum, Tusker custodian Boniface Oluoch and KCB midfielder Mungai Kiongera.
Nandwa said Mungai and Oluoch were excluded at the last minute after Henri Michel decided to include them in his squad for the CHAN.
“I believe I have chosen the best players and I’m optimistic they are going to do well in Cecafa judging by how they’ve been responding in training,” Nandwa said.
