Botswana edges Kenya in friendly
A first-half penalty from Moemedi Moatlhaping gave an under-strength Botswana team a 1-0 win over Kenya in their international friendly on Wednesday.
Moatlhaping converted his spot-kick in the 42nd minute at the University of Botswana Stadium to keep the Zebras—who have already qualified for the 2012 African Cup of Nations—unbeaten in seven games.
Botswana became the first team to come through qualifying earlier this year to reach its first Cup of Nations tournament.
Botswana coach Stanley Tshosane said: “I am very happy with the boys. We left four of our foreign-based players out of the side but still played well.”
