Huth charged with violent conduct

Stoke City defender Robert Huth has been charged with violent conduct following an incident during Saturday's 1-0 Premier League defeat away to Fulham, the Football Association announced on Tuesday.

The German centre-back is facing disciplinary action regarding a clash with Fulham's Philippe Senderos that was not seen at the time by match officials at Craven Cottage but was caught on video.

Huth has until 1800GMT on Wednesday to respond to the charge.

Fulham won the match thanks to Bulgaria striker Dimitar Berbatov's superb volley on the stroke of halftime.

Despite their defeat, Stoke remained a place and a point in front of Fulham in 10th position in the table.
