Odemwingie slams WBA over QPR move

Nigerian forward, Peter Odemwingie has voiced his displeasure at Barclays English Premier League club, West Bromwich Albion for their perceived refusal to let him join Queens Park Rangers.

QPR have made no secret of their desire to bring the Nigerian striker to Loftus road but the Baggies seem unwilling to let the forward leave the Hawthorns.

Odemwingie has now released a lengthy statement pleading with the club to accept his transfer request which was rejected a few days ago.

“ (This represents) a new challenge, a new opportunity, and a chance to play under the stewardship of one of the most respected managers in the game,” Odemwinge said.

The forward also claimed that he may never have such an opportunity in his career again.

“At this stage of my career, this (QPR) opportunity may not come around again.

"I'm deeply hurt and in some ways offended by the lack of reciprocal common respect from the management of West Bromwich Albion,” he said.

With the Baggies still retaining their earlier stance on the issue, the 31-year-old then took to the social networking site, twitter via his verified account @OdemwingieP to voice his sentiments.

“I am crazy haha adviser text saying don't tweet, it weakens our position. Doesn't weaken nothing ! When I want to do something, I do it,” he tweeted.

Odemwingie has scored 30 goals in over 80 appearances for the Baggies since joining the club in 2010.

The striker has also played in Belgium, France and Russia.
