Chelsea loan Brazilian teen Piazon to Malaga

Chelsea announced on Tuesday that they have loaned Brazilian attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon to Spanish side Malaga until the end of the current season.

The 18-year-old joined the European champions from Brazilian club Sao Paulo in January last year but has since made just three first-team appearances.

"We have an agreement with Malaga for Lucas Piazon to go on loan there until the end of the season," said interim manager Rafael Benitez.

Benitez also said Chelsea would not seek to recall 19-year-old Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, for whom he has scored nine goals in 22 games.

"Romelu went there as a young player and he's doing well. He's getting experience in the Premier League," said the Spaniard.

"You never say never because you might have a problem, but at the moment the idea is that he stays there and gains more experience."

Lukaku has expressed a desire to return to West Brom for a second loan spell next season.
