Freedman lauds KG's 'Brazilian' striker
Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has hailed Kagisho Dikgacoi's goal against Charlton Athletic on Friday night and joked that he must have picked up some tips in Brazil.
‘KG’ scored a wonderful winner for The Eagles against their London rivals, blasting the ball home on the volley.
It was a third goal in five appearances for Dikgacoi this season, an excellent return for the midfielder who is set to play a key role for his side this season, fitness permitting.
Dikgacoi was excused from national team duty against Mozambique last Tuesday, meaning he flew straight back to England from Brazil to ensure he could play against The Addicks. Freedman was certainly glad he made it.
"It was a fantastic goal," Freedman told Sky Sports News. "He was playing against Brazil at the weekend and he said he'd picked up a few tips, it was a great strike."
The result was a second win in a row for Palace, who had started the season with three defeats.
Freedman has said that his side’s target this season should be the promotion play-offs at the very least and their next test will be against unbeaten Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
