Gaxa to Rangers still a possibility

A deal to take Siboniso Gaxa to Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers is still on for this transfer window, according to the players business manager.

Rob Moore says they are still hopeful that the Belgian-based Bafana Bafana star will be able to move before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, but that the situation is out of their control.

“There are a couple of issues that need to be resolved,” Rob Moore told SuperSport.com.

“First of all they [Rangers] need to offload some players first. Then they are also still deciding about the Estonian right-back that they had on trial recently, Enar Jaager.”

Asked whether the limited time left in the window would make a deal unlikely, Moore was confident something could be done.

“It is impossible to say what could be done in the time left, but we are still very hopeful that we can get Siboniso over there. These things can move very quickly.”

Meanwhile, Moore said that Daylon Claasen would not be joining English Premiership side QPR in this transfer window.

“The time it would take to appeal his work permit application makes it impossible.”

And on Steven Pienaar, he offered much less.

“I don’t want to comment on Steven right now,” Moore said.
