Weah leads African stars to Lagos

Former World Player of the Year George Weah will lead a cast of African legends into Lagos for a promotional game against Nigeria's Super Eagles Class of 94.


The Veterans Match is part of 2010 World Cup Partner MTN's countdown to the big event.

Other stars expected in from Thursday are Roger Milla, Kalusha Bwalya, Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah, Tony Baffoe, Yousouff Fofana and Titi Camara. Others are Abdoulaye Traore, Mark Fish, Shaun Bartlett and Phil Masinga.

Participating for the Super Eagles will be the likes of Daniel Amokachi, Austin Okocha, Peter Rufai, Victor Ikpeba, Tijani Babangida, Garba Lawal and Taribo West.

The game will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Saturday.
