Barcelona complete Chygrynskiy transfer

Ukraine international Dmytro Chygrynskiy completed a €25 million transfer to Barcelona from Shakhtar Donetsk on Monday, agreeing a five-year contract to play for the European champions.

Chygrynskiy, who has made 19 appearances for Ukraine, helped lead Shakhtar to the Uefa Cup last season. His last appearance for the Ukraine club came in Friday's 1-0 European Super Cup defeat to Barcelona.

It is the Catalan club's third major summer signing as it seeks to defend its Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey titles. It also signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell from Inter Milan.
