Valladolid frustrate Betis
Real Betis' plans to move up the Spanish league table were frustrated on Monday by Valladolid, who battled out a 0-0 draw in Seville.
Betis dominated possession but without injured striker Ruben Castro lacked a cutting edge.
Valladolid were reduced to 10 men nine minutes from time when right-back Antonio Rukavina was rather harshly sent off. However, Miroslav Djukic's well-drilled team managed to play out time without many problems.
The draw left Betis in joint seventh place, level on 36 points with Real Sociedad, both of them one point behind surprise package Rayo Vallecano.
Meanwhile, Valldolid moved up to 10th.
