Loew 'will bounce back from Euro loss'
Germany coach Joachim Loew will be freshly motivated to lead the national team towards the 2014 World Cup, team manager Oliver Bierhoff said in an interview published on Saturday.
Loew came in for criticism after Germany's semifinal exit to Italy at Euro 2012, but Bierhoff said Loew had always "found something" to help the team develop after every tournament.
"Jogi Loew will analyse the game against Italy for himself and he will soon find the energy again for the next stretch. I am not worried about Jogi," Bierhoff told Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
Loew was criticised in the German media for using the wrong tactics against Italy who beat the Germans 2-1. But Bierhoff said 42-year-old Loew would return from holiday with his batteries recharged and reputation intact.
"In 1999 Bayern (Munich) lost the Champions League final with Ottmar Hitzfeld and there was a big discussion. Two years later they then won the final," he said.
