Di Natale extends Udinese stay

Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale has extended his contract until 2014, his club announced on Wednesday.

Di Natale, 34, has scored 80 goals in Serie A in the last three seasons and was the Italian top flight's leading goalscorer in 2010 and 2011 before finishing second to AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season.

His existing deal was due to expire next summer.

Di Natale joined the northern club in 2004 and has scored a total of 157 Serie A goals since then.

He was part of the Italy squad at Euro 2012, scoring in the 1-1 group stage draw with Spain and coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 final defeat to the same opponents.
