Drogba stars in music video
Chelsea’s hit man Didier Drogba starred in a music video of French singer Julia Channel, who released her debut single Forever In A Day this week.
An unidentified man is seen glancing at his watch throughout the four-minute video while waiting for a date. But it’s near the end of the clip that Drogba appears greeting the cute brunette with a broad grin and giving her a warm hug.
“I'm really happy to have been invited to be in the video and I'm very proud of Julia. She is very professional and I wish her all the best,” Drogba said.
The video has already attracted more than 80 000 views in just one week on Youtube.
The Ivory Coast international striker is a huge music fan and recently launched a club band with club-mate Florent Malouda.
Drogba, who was named African Footballer of the Year in 2006 and 2009, is on the list of 400 personalities selected to take part in the Olympic torch relay ahead of the 2012 London Olympics set for July 27.
