Shanghai Shenhua relentless on Drogba

Chinese Premier League club Shanghai Shenhua, which Didier Drogba recently left for Turkish side Galatasaray, say they have new evidence that the Ivory Coast international did not honour the terms of his contract.

A lawyer representing the Chinese outfit said on Wednesday plans were underway to furnish new proofs to Fifa against the player, after the world’s football governing body gave permission to the Turkish FA to register the former Chelsea talisman provisionally.

“We are very sure that Shanghai Shenhua have 99% of chance to win the case against Didier Drogba,” the lawyer said.

The Elephants captain is set to feature for his new club against German side Schalke on Wednesday in the Champions League last-16 first leg.
