Ovono signs for Sochaux
Gabon international goalkeeper Didier Ovono has signed a short term contract with French club Sochaux after a successful trial that began this week.
The 29-year-old former Le Mans guardian was invited by the Lionceaux after their second choice keeper Pierrick Cros recently suffered a ligament rupture.
Ovono, who had been a free agent after quitting Le Mans early this year, will play the rest of the season at Sochaux beside first choice keeper Simon Pouplin, the club said.
Ovono announced last month he was suspending his international career with the Panthers to concentrate on his search for a new contract.
