New blood for Atlas Lions
Morocco coach Rachid Taoussi included six new players on his 25-man list published on Wednesday for Togo friendly of November 14.
However, Arsenal’s Marouane Chamakh, Adel Taarabt, Mbark Boussoufa and team captain Houssine Kharja were dropped for diverse reasons.
Atletico Madrid reserve goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, defenders Zouhair Feddal of FUS Rabat and Ghannam Saiss of French Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot will be joining the Lions of the Atlas for the first time as well as Adrien Regattin and Chahir Belghazouani, who respectively play for French sides Toulouse and Ajaccio.
Mehdi Namli of Morocco champions Moghreb Tetouan is also receiving his first invitation to the outfit.
The Morocco-Togo friendly will hold in Casablanca next Wednesday, as both sides tune up ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations set for next January.
Togo coach Didier Six named his roster for the encounter on Tuesday, including one newcomer, FC Lorient midfielder Gilles Sunu, son of former Togo international Sunu Mawuli.
