Tunisia to play Iran
Tunisia will be playing a friendly match against Iran on August 15 in Budapest, Hungary, ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying set for early September, the Tunisia football federation said on Tuesday.
The Eagles of Carthage coach Sami Trabesli has published a list of 22 players called up for the meeting including Montpellier’s Saihi Jamel, Khalil Chammam and Youssef Msakni of Esperance and Anis Ben Htira of Herta Berlin.
Playmaker Oussema Darragi, who recently joined Swiss side FC Sion, also figures on the list.
Tunisia are pitted against Sierra Leone in the final round of the 2013 Afcon. The first leg will hold in Freetown while the return will take place in Tunis.
Tunisia are leaders of Group B with six points in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying grouping.
