Ivory Coast to play Russia
Ivory Coast will play a friendly match against Russia on August 15 in Moscow, the Elephants coach Sabri Lamouchi confirmed in Abidjan on Friday.
The Ivorians will use the encounter to put house in order ahead of their two-legged clash against Senegal in September and October in the final round of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
It will also be a baptism of fire for former England manager Fabio Capello, who on Thursday signed a two-year coaching contract with Russia, whom he has vowed to turn into one of the world's top teams.
Russia were held to a goalless draw by another African team Cameroon in June 2011 during a friendly played in Salzburg, Austria.
