Lokomotiv Moscow inks deal with N’Doye
Senegal international Dame N’Doye has signed a two-year contract with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow following an agreement reached with Danish side FC Copenhague, where the 27-year-old striker plied his trade between 2009 and 2012, appearing in 150 games and scoring 82 goals.
The Steam Locomotives have reported the transfer fee to be €7 million (R71m).
Copenhague had declined to release N’Doye as a senior player for Senegal’s U23 team for the 2012 Summer Olympic football tournament.
Born in Thies, Senegal’s third largest city, N’Doye began his career at Dakar-based Jeanne d’Arc in 2003 before moving to Qatar three years later for a short spell at Al-Sadd.
He later played for Portuguese side Academica de Coimbra, Panathinaikos and OFI Crete in Greece.
He was a member of Senegal’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations squad that crashed out of the tournament in the group stage.
