QPR land Samba Diakité
Mali international Samba Diakité has signed a four-year contract with Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, where he had been on loan since January from French Ligue 1 team Nancy.
QRP and the 23-year-old defensive midfielder settled for a €4 million (R 45 m) deal, according to reports.
Diakite was born in France and holds a French passport but was called up to the Malian national team prior to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, becoming a member of the squad that won bronze at the showpiece.
He signed his first professional contract with Nancy in December 2009, appearing 41 times before being loaned to play at the Loftus Road early this year.
