Swiss company partners Frimpong Academy

Top Swiss Sports Agency, 4Sports & Entertainment AG, has sealed a partnership with Frimpong Football Academy, owned by Joetex Frimpong, a Ghanaian International & Nigerian League Legend.

The Switzerland based football star informed supersport.com that the partnership has led to a change in the name of the academy, based in the Niger State capital, Minna.

“The Academy will now be called Frimpong 4Sports Academy to reflect the new partnership. 4Sports will have a bigger share and they’re ready to work with us to build an academy that will boost the career of up-and-coming stars.

“It’s going to be a gradual progress, but by January the project will take off fully. Our target is to get the best players into European clubs. I’m proud to be involved in this unique concept,” Frimpong said.

Supersport.com equally gathered from the former Niger Tornadoes and Enyimba forward that the welfare of the technical crew and players will be catered for.

“We’ll restrict the number of players to 25 so as to take care of their welfare. Players and coaches will earn allowances and we intend to get a bus. Having realized the importance of facilities, efforts will be made to get the necessary facilities for the youngsters.

4Sports is ready to give us the support,” he assured.

Frimpong urged the people of Minna to support the academy so as to ensure its success.

4Sports & Entertainment AG is an international company operating in the athlete and event management business as well as in the strategic sponsorship consultancy for corporate clients.

Other related partnerships in Nigeria include the Dosu Joseph Academy partnership with Westerlo (Belgium), Velje Academy/Velje FC (Denmark) as well as the FC Ebedei/FC Midtjylland (Denmark).
