'Eagles won't relinquish lead again'

Head coach of the Nigerian national team, Stephen Keshi is adamant the Super Eagles will no longer gift the opposition a route back into matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Burkina Faso and reigning champions, Zambia scored late on to draw 1-1 against Nigeria on Matchday 1 and 2 after it looked almost certain the two-time African champions would close out both games.
Keshi says there will be no repeat of such in Tuesday’s Group C game against Ethiopia.
“I am not sure there is any team leading a game that would want to give away the lead but these things happen and that is why it is football,” Keshi said.
The ‘Big Boss’ also revealed that he had a serious discussion with his players as they seek to seal qualification for the quarterfinals.
“I have talked to my players and whatever we have to do (to prevent this from happening against Ethiopia) is within us,” Keshi said.
A win for Nigeria will guarantee progression to the next round of the competition. Kickoff for the game is at 6pm at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Rustenburg.
