Sow should be fit to face DRC

Midfielder Samba Sow is expected to be fully recovered from a hamstring injury for Monday's Africa Cup of Nations Group B match against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Durban.

Mali coach Patrice Carteron said Sow from French club Lens is on the road to recovery after missing last Sunday's 1-0 win over Niger in the opening round of group games.

"He is nursing a hamstring injury on his right leg, but has started running and should be ready for our match against DR Congo," said the French coach.

Sow, 23, made his international debut in 2009 and was part of the Malian squad which finished third behind Zambia and Ivory Coast at the 2012 Africa Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
