Chisamba Lungu sits out training

Zambia playmaker Chisamba Lungu has suffered a bruised left bone and sat out training on Wednesday.

Chisamba suffered the bruise in Chipolopolo's 1-1 draw against Ethiopia on Monday.

As the rest of the squad went about their paces in the morning at the Kanyamazane training stadium, Chisamba was in the stands watching.

The defending champions' medical team advised the technical staff to rest Chisamba following their assessment of the player as well as opinion of other local experts.

He is expected to resume training on Thursday.

Should his return to training be without any pain in his left leg, Doctor Joseph Kabungo - head of the Chipoloolo medical team - said the dribbling star will be declared fit to face Nigeria at 1700hours on Friday.
