Top defender Sunzu rejoins Chipolopolo
Chipolopolo top defender Stoppilla Sunzu has rejoined the African champions camp in Nelspruit/Mbombela.
"Everything went well. I'm happy because I passed the assessment and its now up to TP Mazembe and Reading to finalize the deal. When they do that, I will sign the contract right here during the Africa Cup," said Sunzu.
The superstars of the reigning kings of African football are relaxed, less than 24 hours before the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations finals gets underway.
Hosts South Africa take on tournament debutants Cape Verde at the National Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday before Zambia takes to the pitch against Ethiopia on Monday at the Mbombela Stadium. The Ethiopians are appearing at their first finals in over 30 years.
