Trabelsi rips his team

Sami Trabelsi the head coach of Tunisia has blasted his players before the start of Afcon.

Tunisia has played many friendly matches the last two being against Ethiopia and Gabon.

” The players did not play well and all of them are in bad form. We simply can’t play Afcon this way. There the game will be tougher and quite frankly we are no ready to play there” Trabelsi said to supersport.com.

” We still have circa a week and it is our last chance to improve our form. My players have to do more and prove that they deserve to wear the kit”.

Tunisian goalie Moez Ben Cherifia agreed with his coach and said “ we must improve our way before the tournament “.

Tunisia has asked the Egyptian Football Association to play another friendly match next week in the UAE before traveling to South Africa.

The Carthage Eagles will play at the group D with Algeria, Ivory Coast and Togo. Their first match will be against Algeria at January 22 at Royal Bafokeng stadium.
