Ghana were unlucky - Appiah

Ghana assistant coach Kwesi Appiah says the Black Stars were unlucky not to have won their Africa Nations Cup semifinal game against Zambia on Wednesday.

The Black Stars dominated their match against the Chipolopolo, but were undone by Emmanuel Mayuka when it mattered most.

Appiah says the Black Stars deserved to win the game as they dominated the exchanges.

“We dominated most of the game but is unfortunate that out of one of their two chances, they had a goal against us," Appiah said at the post-game press conference at the Estadio de Bata.

“I don’t personally think anything went wrong. It is just one of those things in the game.”

The result dashed the hopes of the Black Stars as their chase for their fifth title must wait until next year.
