The Premier Soccer League (PSL) announced Brand de Villiers as the new CEO for the League.

De Villiers’ appointment was announced by the PSL Chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza at a press conference held in Johannesburg this afternoon.

His appointment is effective from 02 July 2013.

Khoza said: “I would like to welcome Mr De Villiers to the football family and Premier Soccer League. He has a wealth of experience gained from the corporate world and has good understanding of the sports industry. We look forward to a good relationship with him and are confident that his experience will benefit our business. As the PSL, we believe we must evolve and it is important that we attract individuals who will enhance this brand.”

Khoza thanked PSL COO, Cambridge Mokanyane who had occupied the CEO position in an acting capacity.

De Villiers, a charted accountant by profession, has worked for a number of big corporations including Vodacom and SAIL.
