Pirates suffer Sangweni blow

Orlando Pirates suffered a huge blow ahead of Wednesday’s match against Platinum Stars as defender Siyabonga Sangweni suffered an injury to his right knee.

The tough tackling defender complained of a pain on his right knee last weekend, and according to club doctor a report from a specialist suggests that the defender will have to sit out for up to six weeks, depending on how he responds to treatment.

Sangweni joins defenders Rooi Mahamutsa and Robyn Johannes in the clubs’ casualty ward.
