Green light for Shabba, Tower waits

Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala has been given a medical all-clear to resume training following an injury he sustained 10 days ago.

Shabba picked up a knock in the 3-2 defeat against Bidvest Wits in the Telkom Knockout on October 19. He subsequently missed the league match against Maritzburg United last Friday.

"Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala) was also seen and was given a green light to commence with light training,” team physiotherapist David Milner told the club’s official website.

Meanwhile, defender Eric ‘Tower’ Mathoho will have to wait for a while to ascertain the extent of his injury. The lanky defender was injured against Maritzburg on Friday and had to be replaced by Lincoln Zvasiya.

"Eric (Mathoho) hurt the first joint in his shoulder. He was injected to it and strapped. He will be assessed again later this week," said Milner.
