Absa Premiership new boys Chippa United on Wednesday fired their coach Manqoba Mngqithi after two successive defeats.
Mngqithi saw his team going 2-1 down to Free State Stars at the Athlone Stadium on Tuesday night.
He becomes the first coach to be fired with the new season less than a month old.
The Cape rookies, in their first season in the top flight after back-to-back promotions, are yet to pick up a point in the league following their 1-0 opening round loss away to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Against Ea Lla Koto the Chilli Boys were just three minutes away from a point, but an 87th minute goal from Moeketsi Mvula saw them ending the game pointless.
