Haskins joins SuperSport on loan

SuperSport United continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season with the acquisition of midfielder Mark Haskins on a loan deal from BidVest Wits.

The deal was concluded on Thursday afternoon and will see the former Moroka Swallows and Bidvest Wits player spend a season at Matsatsantsa. According to this agreement, United will have to option to sign the player outright at the end of the loan period.

The 31-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan to Ezenkosi from Wits. He had his medical tests on Wednesday and once both parties were satisfied, a deal was concluded.

Haskins came into prominence when he was still at Swallows where he helped them win the 2010 Nedbank Cup. He then went to play in the USA in Major League Soccer, but returned to South Africa to play for Bidvest Wits. Due to his lack of game time he signed a loan move to Ezenkosi.
