Wits complete Appolis signing
BidVest Wits have completed the loan signing of young SuperSport United winger Daylon Appolis.
The 19-year-old has been drafted in with Wits skipper Sifiso Myeni due to leave the club today.
Coach Roger de Sa says that Myeni will leave, though he is unable to say to where, with the club trying to get the best deal possible with the Bafana Bafana international having just five months left on his contract, and still to sit out a further two months through injury.
Appolis came through the youth system at SuperSport and was promoted to the first-team for the 2011/12 season.
However, the arrival of Franklin Cale from Mamelodi Sundowns and the re-register of Masibusane Zongo means that coach Gavin Hunt has cover in the left-wing position.
Wits have also recalled national Under-20 striker Letsie Koapeng from loan at Bay United, and promoted 19-year-old central midfielder Conley Miller and 18-year-old striker Muhammed Zaid Patel from their junior structures.
